What's the Deal?

Tomorrow Peyton and I leave for South Carolina! And guess what? She's got a cold, and I know I'm next! I have never not caught one of her colds...in other words, every time she's been sick, I've always gotten it too, whether it be a stomach virus, sore throat, cold, etc. Why do things work out like this sometimes? She hasn't been sick in months, and two days before we're supposed to leave for our trip, she gets sick. Have you ever wondered why these things happen?

The Minivan

You know it's getting bad when you and your husband go to look at a minivan on your lunch break. I'm turning into my mom I guess. We defintely are going to need something bigger, because a Honda Accord just won't cut it for two "babies". At least one of them will be a baby, but Peyton is still a baby to me. :) Arnold does not want a minivan, and I don't particularly want one...I mean, heck, I would much rather have a new shiny corvette or a mustang or something. But practicality dictates that we move to something a little more family-friendly and ministerial. I mean, to be in the ministry you need to either drive a minivan or a Buick, right? Well, we have the old beat-up Buick, now we just need a minivan.

A Few Surprises

This week has been full of surprises, but not all of them bad. I think my sister is going to be coming to live with us this summer to keep Peyton. She doesn't know what she's getting herself into! haha I'm really excited about her coming. I'm sure we will have a lot of fun since she likes a lot of the same things I do....watching chick flicks, going fun places, hanging out. I don't get to do a lot of those things these days with friends who are busy, but now that she's going to be living with me and will have nothing to do, she will have to come along with me! :)
I also found out that me and Peyton are going to get to come to South Carolina in a few weeks. I think we're going to try to go to the beach, maybe Charleston, while we're there. I can't wait! I need a break so bad it's scary! And Arnold is more than happy for me to go away for a while, I'm sure! ;)
Then Wednesday, I went to the doctor and found out that I have a tonsil infection...a nice way to rain on my parade.
But then Thursday, Arnold said we should go see his family for Mother's Day. I thought this was a great idea since we haven't seen them in six months! Don't worry though, I'm better and will not spread the infection around. A nice round of antibiotics has taken care of this.

Below are some pictures of Peyton that we took the other morning. She was so proud of herself for putting her babydoll in the stroller and strapping her in.

A Weird Week

I feel like I haven't written much lately because, well, it's been crazy in my life. Work has been especially interesting, and then three other things happened last week. First, I pulled my back out, not totally, but enough to sideline me for about a week. Hopefully it's just pregnancy stuff, but either way, it was no fun. And bless Arnold for doing EVERYTHING for Peyton last week, and I do mean everything...baths, feedings, bedtimes, taking her to the babysitters. I don't know what would have happened without him! Second, I got a cold that is not wanting to go away. I'm so terrified that it's going to turn into a sinus infection again like it did in March. Please pray that it doesn't turn into that! Third, we've been infested by roaches in our apartment. We've had eight in the last week or so. And I can think of 13 that we've had recently. Saturday night I had about reached my limit! I opened up my closet and saw two little roaches, nasty little things, crawling in one of my shoes. It gives me goosebumps just typing that sentence! Of course the Roach Killer Hero, aka-Arnold, quickly came to the rescue. He's become quite a pro at this. We've never had this problem in this apartment, and we've lived here for three years. So I'm scratching my head wondering what's going on this year. This week was another one of those weeks I would like to forget. Hope your week wasn't the same!
